My wife Ali and I got married on July 6th in Eastport, Long Island, and Pastor April was our officiant. There are not enough words for excellence in the English language to describe the experience we had with her as we prepared for the big wedding day. I looked online for an officiant on Long Island and she showed up as highly recommended on Wedding Wire, so I immediately looked up her website and loved the ceremonies she had written and all the testimonials from happy couples. I decided I would try to get her to officiate our wedding, but thought we might not be able to book her since the wedding was only a month away. Luckily, she not only responded immediately, she also had time for us on her calendar for the day and time of our nuptials. We met with her to write our vows literally three days before the wedding. She was so empathetic to the very recent loss of my mother and Ali’s mother to breast cancer, wrote a beautiful tribute to them both into the ceremony, and captured all the things we told her about our love and commitment to each other, in such a way that she should have a second career as a poet. On the day of our wedding, all of our family marveled at how fantastic she was, how professional, the feeling she captured in the vows, and just what a great person she is. As I said earlier, I highly recommend Pastor April to any couple who knows they want magic, delight and joy to be expressed in their vows to each other.
