Por cuanto Dios los escogió y son santos y amados, practiquen con sinceridad la compasión y la bondad. Sean humildes, amables y buenos. Sopórtense unos a otros y perdonen a quienes se quejen de ustedes. Si el Señor los perdonó, ustedes están obligados a perdonar. Y sobre todo, vístanse de amor, que es lo que permite vivir en perfecta armonía. Que la paz de Dios reine en sus corazones, porque ese es su deber como miembros del cuerpo de Cristo. Y sean agradecidos. Mantengan vívidas en su memoria las enseñanzas de Cristo en toda su abundancia, y enséñense y aconséjense unos a otros con toda sabiduría. Transmítanlas a otros, con salmos, himnos y cánticos espirituales elevados al Señor con corazones agradecidos. Y todo lo que hagan o digan, háganlo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, y por medio de él acérquense a la presencia de Dios con acción de gracias.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive. Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, a singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
