Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Your friend or family member is incredibly special to you, and their love for you is undeniable. When you ask them to officiate your wedding, you’re inviting them to be an essential part of your vendor team, playing a key role in creating your dream ceremony. From crafting a heartfelt script to coordinating with venue staff, photographers, videographers, and DJs/musicians — they’re working in concert with your whole team to ensure your big day is everything you’ve imagined.
With your friend as the officiant, they’ll be put in the position to guide crucial elements. It’s a lot to ask of someone who’s also meant to enjoy the day as one of your cherished guests. But here’s how we can help: Is your friend stressing writing the ceremony? We offer writing services! Is your loved one concerned about timing and delivery? Using the mic? Or how you are supposed to be positioned for photos? We can coach them privately or co-officiate with them so you can be sure to have a calming presence up there with you; someone who knows what to do if things don’t go as planned.
New York State still doesn’t recognize online-ordained officiants as having the ability to perform a marriage ceremony that cannot be later deemed invalid. Because of this, they started issuing single-event officiant permits to family and friends. If them taking the time off to travel and get the permit at your Town Hall is more burden than blessing, we also offer signature services on the wedding day and before.
You don’t know what you don’t know. As professional officiants who have performed thousands of ceremonies, we know a lot. If you want to have your friend or loved one to be the one to marry you, drop us a line so we can help to make sure your ceremony is beautifully connected and flows effortlessly. Let’s work together to create a moment everyone will remember with joy!
